Ronaldinho reveals he is still attached to the Rossoneri: “I always watch Milan”

Ronaldinho has revealed that he still watches his old side AC Milan, as well as his hopes that the team can do even better next season.

July 2021 marks exactly 13 years since Ronaldinho joined Milan from Barcelona and although it has been more than a decade since he joined and left the Rossoneri, the legendary playmaker fondly backs the red and black.

Speaking to Sky Sports (via MilanNews), the Brazilian provided some words of encouragement and affection for Il Diavolo. He said: “I always watch Milan. They are a team that excited me. We hope they can do even better next year.”

Milan endured a tough end to last season after handing over the title to city rivals Inter after a difficult second half of the season, with the Nerazzurri winning their first Scudetto in over a decade.

“They are making an excellent journey but they can improve further,” said Ronaldinho, who is keeping a close eye on the Rossoneri.

Milan, who last won the Serie A title in 2010-11, must be hoping they have a realistic chance of stealing the Scudetto from Inter in the 2021-22 season. Finishing in second place in the league last season – their highest finish since 2011-12 – was certainly a positive step.
