The AC Milan squad will be in training at Milanello this afternoon as preparations continue for Saturday evening’s game against Como at San Siro.
After the dramatic comeback win over Lecce last weekend, in which the Rossoneri came from two goals down in the second half to win 3-2, there will be hopes for a more convincing and controlling performance.
As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress) report this morning, two days before the game against Como there is good news in the sense that only Emerson Royal is out due to injury. Alessandro Florenzi was on the bench in Lecce, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek rejoined full training earlier in the week.
Three points are a must and that is why Conceicao wants to name the most balanced side possible. As previously reported, there will be a double midfield formed by Warren Bondo and Youssouf Fofana to help the returning Mike Maignan and Strahinja Pavlovic.
Rafael Leao – after the performance he put in off the bench last Saturday – returns to the starting line-up, while Christian Pulisic will play on the right. There is a slight doubt between Santiago Gimenez and Tammy Abraham, with the Mexican favoured and in need of a goal to end his drought.
What is the game plan for this weekend? Let me guess.
A – Run around like headless chickens, fall behind, and pray that a Pulisic miracle saves us.
B – Run around like headless chickens, fall behind, and pray that a Leao miracle saves us.
yes – go a high tempo, create chances and score just like against Lecce – and then for once not conceed after a stupid mistake/referee blow/first touch of the opponent striker.
i just wonder whats the plan for fans like you? hoping for a bad result so you can post a miserable comment, or accept the positive parts of the game and support the team you love?
Hardly. I always root for Milan to win. Note I still DO pray for a miracle to win the match after our almost inevitable poor performance in the first half.
I’m also not going to lie to myself and/or others about what is happening before our very eyes. Not EVERY match has a poor first half, but most have, recently.
