Serafini on Milan’s injustice with referees: “I have seen unusual things”

AC Milan managed to seal all three points against Spezia last night but it sure wasn’t easy for the Rossoneri. When they had a goal disallowed in the second half, it really felt like the fixture of last season.

Sandro Tonali scored an absolute rocket in the 67th minute but Michael Fabbri ended up disallowing it for a foul in the build-up. While that was probably right, the referee was criticised for his display by Gazzetta Dello Sport (read here).

Luca Serafini joined in on the criticism of the referee, speaking live on MilanTV (via MilanNews) after the game. He stated that it’s not the first time that Milan have dealt with injustice, or perhaps poor officiating overall if you wish.

“Fabbri let the match get out of hand, he didn’t have the authority and there was no consistency between one action and another. In these years, I have seen some unusual things, that is, that I don’t see on other fields: the Tomori foul vs. Chelsea, the goal cancelled against Spezia last season. This match almost ended in a brawl…”

Just two games remain ahead of the World Cup break and hopefully, there won’t be any more controversy for Milan to deal with. Cremonese are the next opponent, scheduled for Tuesday, and then they will face Fiorentina at the weekend.
