Sky: Aston Villa usurp Spurs in race for Milan striker with €30m bid – the player’s stance

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have two offers on the table for striker Krzysztof Piatek, a report claims, from Premier League duo Spurs and Aston Villa.

The Poland international is looking increasingly likely to leave the Rossoneri this month having seemingly lost his place in the starting XI, with Rafael Leao and Zlatan Ibrahimovic now the front two preferred by head coach Stefano Pioli.

We reported earlier in the month via our mercato expert Vito Angele that there is interest from the Premier League in Piatek, with a bid of just over €30m having arrived from Aston Villa.

According to the latest reports from Sky Italia – as cited by Calciomercato.com – there are now two offers on the table for the 24-year-old, namely from Villa and Tottenham.

The north London club wants to loan him as cover for the injured Harry Kane but the Rossoneri do not intend to adhere to that formula, while the Midlands side have offered €30m outright – an acceptable figure – but the destination does not appeal.
