Sky: Treatment room empty for Milan as duo recover ahead of Udinese game

Some very positive news has come from today’s training session at Milanello because the treatment room was finally emptied out, at least in terms of the shorter-term injuries.

Manuele Baiocchini (via MilanNews) told Sky this afternoon that Ruben Loftus-Cheek trained with the rest of the squad for the first time today after suffering a slight flexor problem in recent weeks and therefore he is in contention for Saturday’s game against Udinese.

Samuel Chukwueze meanwhile returned early from Nigeria due to what was feared to be a muscle issue, but he has also recovered. Thus, everyone is available except the long-term injured players Ismael Bennacer, Marco Sportiello and Alessandro Florenzi who are working on their recoveries.

Theo Hernandez has a fever after returning from international duty with France, but he was also at Milanello today. There are no worries regarding the Frenchman as he is suspended for the next two Serie A games anyway, but he can play on Tuesday night against Club Brugge in the Champions League.

Now, Fonseca must decide whether to give Strahinja Pavlovic a start at centre-back after Fikayo Tomori’s disaster in Florence, and if Tammy Abraham should be benched following the penalty debacle that took place, potentially for Loftus-Cheek with Alvaro Morata moving up.

  1. I expected much more with Chukwueze in AC Milan. he also expected much more. but still showing not too much. it’s last moment for him to explode.

Tomori has to go on the bench. let’s give the chance to Pavlovic.
