Sky journalist outlines the positions Milan will address in the summer mercato

AC Milan are expected to make investments in several crucial areas this summer in order to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2022-23 season, it is claimed.

Peppe Di Stefano spoke to Sky Italia (via MilanNews) and gave an update on what he thinks the plans are for Milan’s summer transfer window, starting by remarking that a central defender will arrive.

Yacine Adli will join the midfield after his loan at Bordeaux comes to an end but Franck Kessie will depart on a free transfer, so therefore a quality player with physicality will be needed in order to not regret losing the Ivorian.

Regarding the attack, the Rossoneri management are planning on signing Divock Origi on a free transfer but above all they must fix the trident behind the centre-forward, given the fact that the current options such as Brahim Diaz, Alexis Saelemaekers, Junior Messias and Ante Rebic have showed their ability only in small patches.

“In the summer it will be interesting because that’s where Milan will try to do something really significant,” Di Stefano concluded.
