Sky: Krunic could form part of new-look midfield trio against SPAL

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is reportedly leaning towards fielding an entirely new-look midfield three against SPAL on Thursday.

The Rossoneri are in desperate need of three points on Halloween night as they host a side currently in the bottom three, and you can read out match preview here.

Pioli’s side have had a torrid start to the season, losing five of their first nine league games, a run which has left them in the bottom half of the table.

A number of different outlets have claimed that the Milan boss will make significant changes to the starting XI that lost to Roma on Saturday, and now Sky Italia (via @MilanEye on Twitter) have offered a key update.

The outlet claims that all three of Franck Kessie, Lucas Biglia and Lucas Paqueta are set to be dropped to the bench on Thursday night.

Instead of them, Pioli will reportedly field Ismael Bennacer as the regista with Giacomo Bonaventura – back from his latest injury – and Rade Krunic either side.
