Sky: Milan abandon pursuit of Bundesliga target as he is no longer a suitable profile

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan no longer consider Matija Nastasic to be a candidate to reinforce their defensive department this summer, a report claims.

Milan’s pursuit of a new centre-back has become more of a desperation than a desire at this point with Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio and Leo Duarte all currently out.

They haven’t had much luck though, as the first choice in Wesley Fofana is now off the list as he will join Leicester City for €40m, while Nikola Milenkovic of Fiorentina apparently carries the same price tag.

Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu continues to be heavily linked but one name that never went away after being mentioned first a week ago was Nastasic of Schalke.

However, according to a report from Sky Italia (via MilanNews), his name can finally be chalked off the list as Mila have decided that he is no longer among the suitable profiles to reinforce the rearguard.
