AC Milan are looking to close the signing of Matija Nastasic from Schalke as quickly as possible to reinforce the defence, a report claims.
After Leo Duarte entered quarantine due to testing positive for Coronavirus, Milan are down to just having Simon Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia as their senior centre-back options, with Alessio Romagnoli and Mateo Musacchio both not back from injury yet.
According to what Gianluca Di Marzio has told Sky (via MilanLive), the Rossoneri want to close for a central defender as soon as possible and have decided to focus on Nastasic, an easy operation to close. Milan would like to have him available by the end of the week, on a loan with option to buy.
After the purchase of Nastasic, the Rossoneri could try to sign another defender to complete the defence, given that Musacchio and Romagnoli will not be available at least until the derby in mid-October and there are doubts over the experience of Duarte and Gabbia.
