Sky: Milan and Juventus probe deal as Roma star rules out Newcastle move

By Oliver Fisher -

Another source have come forward claiming that AC Milan are in the running to sign Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo in the summer transfer window.

According to what is being reported by Sky (via MilanNews), Zaniolo should leave Roma this summer as his contract expires in 2024 and he does not look likely to renew. The Giallorossi are hoping to use his sale to finance their summer mercato.

However, the player does not want to go to the Premier League and has therefore put the idea of a move to Newcastle aside for now. Milan and Juventus have already made their first approaches to see if the operation is feasible.

There is no doubting that Milan need reinforcements in the No.10 and right wing roles – both positions that Zaniolo can play – however there are doubts about the physical condition of the 22-year-old given he has suffered two serious knee injuries in his young career.
