Sky: Milan in talks over Bournemouth defender and enquire about Chelsea full-back

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are working on various different options for the defensive department and they have begun talks over a couple of Premier League targets, a report claims.

In his latest update on Sky UK’s Transfer Show (and on their live blog), journalist Dharmesh Sheth confirmed that Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly is free to talk to clubs outside England over a pre-contract agreement.

He states that Milan and Juventus both have ‘concrete interest’ in landing him on a free transfer, with both Serie A clubs ‘in talks with Kelly’s representatives’ over a potential switch to Italy.

Tottenham were keen on signing Kelly in the summer and ‘continue to keep an eye on his situation’, however the possibility of staying at Bournemouth cannot be ruled out as talks over an extension have not completely ceased.

Dharmesh Sheth also said live on Sky moments ago that talks are ongoing between Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund over a deal for Ian Maatsen, who the Blues want to sell permanently.

Dortmund want to do a loan with obligation to buy, with the loan fee and the figure of the buy-out currently under negotiation. He added that Milan ‘also had a tentative interest, but not at the prices being quoted’.

  1. Can I quickly hijack this post to ask a question brothers. CDK just scored two goals, probably making the quarter-finals with AC Milan. My question is what was wrong with CDK along?

    1. @Novae. Playing at Atalanta is not the same as playing for Milan.

CDK cannot handle pressure. It’s that simple. He’s mentally weak and it’s obvious that he is not cut out for a top club.

      1. I doubt that Krunic Musah pobega can’t handle pressure they isn’t cut out for top Club but hey pioli is playing or at least he trusted them more than CDK

      2. He’s not even playing all that good for Atalanta. He rarely scores. Had two goals in the Serie A itself after 16 appearances. Scored once the first game, and then scored again back in December.

The players we signed in replacement have had a huge impact. Like Pulisic.

    2. no matter how long CKD plays for ac Milan he isn’t going to be able to live up to the expectations the club had for him. He isn’t a number 10 or a right winger. He seemed to do well as a second striker and Milan never plays a system with a second striker. I believe based off his performances from Brugge he created chances and scored a few goals with his left foot and head. I think from this the idea was to make him a number 10 as he can drift along the final third and score goals. But that never happened since Pioli likes his wingers to work from the wing and use the width to create chances. CDK isnt a winger or a striker but a mix of a few types of players. Pioli couldn’t get the best out of him because of the system and methods used to attack so not going to be part of the team.

    3. I’ll say that Pioli couldn’t find perfect position for him he was CAM turned false 9 it wasn’t working in Club Brugge was a winger and CF but they wasn’t a ST up front just him as CF so yh 😅 now maybe put him in the three midfield do different things than Reijnders and loftus cheek kinda like some times city puts bernando Silva when he needs to put him with de bruyne and rodri

    4. 1. Position. You could say Pioli this or that, but really we had a working system before he came and didn’t fit into that. Intelligent players adapt and show their quality (ofcourse fans have to be more patient too) in whatever position; pending the time they get used to the system or they get to a level of reliability where the team can be built around their style of play. CDK had chances, he didn’t do enough.
      2. Big team vs Small team: You can go 5 matches without scoring or assisting in Atlanta, and then score two goals in a random match and get the headline (case in point). You have one bad game in Milan, you get the headlines for the wrong reasons. That chips at confidence, you play less (also because there are more options), less confidence. (I think a similar idea applies for those that think Motta or Palladino will be the savior coach too, but we won’t get into that today).

      3. This is his second year in Serie A.

  2. CDK just scored two goals. After how long? He has only two goals in the Serie A after 16 appearances. Why are people bringing him up here again? He hasn’t exactly been exciting for Atalanta either.. so…

  3. I’m asking because we tore each other of who was in the wrong with cdk. But my question has been answered. CDK was never at ac milan level
