Sky: Milan in talks with Ecuadorian side over signing of midfield starlet

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing teenage midfield starlet Moisés Caicedo from Independiente in Ecuador and are in talks, according to a report.

The Rossoneri have been making investments for the future in addition to the first team since Elliott Management took ownership of the club.

Earlier this summer the arrival of Emil Roback from Hammarby was announced, and now Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews24) has confirmed that Milan are negotiating over an 18-year-old midfielder.

The Rossoneri management have apparently set their sights on Moisés Caicedo of Independiente, a defensive midfielder who has made 13 senior appearances and has scored two goals for Independiente in Ecuador across the league and the Copa Libertadores.

After securing promotion back to the first division, it seems like Federico Giunti’s team are in no mood to accept mediocrity in 2020-21 and will have a very talented side at his disposal should the additions keep coming in.

  1. The starlet already played at Libertadores and now he’s going back to play only in academy level? That’s not good for him.
