Sky: Milan and Roma in competition for Kone – the offer both have made

While AC Milan and Roma continue to negotiate with each other over a Tammy Abraham and Alexis Saelemaekers exchange deal, they are competing with one another for Manu Kone.

According to Sky, both Milan and Roma want to sign the talented midfielder from Borussia Mönchengladbach and both clubs are ready to offer around €15m, but the German club would like more.

In addition to believing that he is worth a higher fee than what has been put forward by the Italian clubs, there is the added caveat of having to give a percentage of any proceeds to Toulouse and a percentage to the entourage of the Frenchman.

The Giallorossi should have held direct talks with the player’s agent today, with whom Milan have been in dialogue for some time, also because he is the representative of Mike Maignan and there have been renewal talks on that front.

In the last season with Borussia Mönchengladbach, Kone collected 22 appearances in the Bundesliga with one goal. It seems that he wishes say goodbye to the German club after three and a half years to move to Serie A, with Milan having been keen on him since he was at Toulouse three years ago.

  1. If Bennacer is sold for this guy… which already makes no sense other than greed… then we need starting CAM as Reijnders will be pushed back. but Zeroli is the best cover we have for him, then…

Never seeing this magical and perfect balanced midfield in action:

    Reijnders
    Fofana – Bennacer

    1. Don’t worry, Bennacer is staying at Milan because literally no team wants him.

Member of Al Qadsiah sporting area to @DiMarzio:

“Our eight spots for foreigners over 21 years old are now full, we have completed them, so we are not working to sign Ismael Bennacer.”

      1. So who’s leaving then? Kone can’t come if international player doesn’t leave… RLC I hope, easy 25-30M from EPL side or maybe Jovic after Abraham “master-class signing”…

        Reijnders (Pulisic, Liberalli)
Fofana (Musah, Kone) – Bennacer (Rejnders, Zeroli)

        1. No-one is leaving for Koné, although a couple needs to leave anyway. Koné won’t come in, there’s just no room in our midfield for him

          1. room in our midfield?

we have 5 players in midfield, wtf… Zeroli and Liberalli aren’t ready yet

a 15M Kone is way more important than Jovic…

    1. entire midfield is unbalanced…

We needed 2 CAM, 2 defensive and 2 regista pivots and maybe 1-2 Futuros in rotation… we have Bennacer, Fofana, Reijnders, Musah, Zeroli, Liberalli?… we needed RLC => Kone upgrade and regista, but we are selling Bennacer who has best quality and technique and bringing another runner/box-to-box player…

        1. Then management is doing the same thing I just said that better if it was RLC than Bennacer… Fofana, Kone and Musah are basically the same player during different stages of their career… Charizard -> Charmeleon -> Charmander lmao…

Reijnders will be the regista as it seems but when he’s unavailable who is to cover him? And how is RLC a starting quality player? Bennacer is way more useful than him… owners just can’t say no to 40M which only 15M be spent afterwards…

keep glazing people and watch as we barely make it to top 4… even Atalanta and Napoli are looking better than us…

          1. I’m not glazing anyone. Get a grip on reality. Neither Atalanta nor Napoli are better than us. Fofana and Musah the same lmaooooo you’re out of your mind.

          2. “Fofana, Kone and Musah are basically the same player”

Wow. If one cannot see any difference between Fofana & Musah, one doesn’t understand football. At all. Period. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

          3. Musah has no defined role, that’s his problem… He’s too raw, but being Fofana understudy will utilize his talents for the better… currently he just looks like Andrea Poli…

“different stages of career…”, idk how many times to write this… what’s his style then? run and lose ball?

He has stamina and physicality with experience he can become Fofana-esque player, he’s not creative or fast enough to be attacker, nor has exceptional ball control…

  2. Don’t give them the Abraham money! They’ll use it for Kone. Same as Atalanta, we gave them an extension on the CDK money and they promptly spent that 20mn on Samardzic

    1. It’s quite simple
      Atalanta is smarter
The management there know what is best and they go for it
U can’t blame them for being an ambitious club naaa
