Sky: Milan withdraw from race for winger Osorio due to asking price

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan appear to have given up on any hopes they had of signing Darío Osorio from Chile before the window closes, a report claims.

As reported by the editorial staff of Sky (via MilanNews), Milan have withdrawn from the race to sign Osorio from Universidad de Chile. The Rossoneri’s offer was around €5.5m plus 30% on the proceeds of a possible future resale, but it was not enough to satisfy the demand from the South American club.

In actual fact, Universidad de Chile requested that Milan double their bid from the aforementioned amount if they want to get a deal for the teenager over the line before the window shuts later today.

It seems therefore that there is no chance of Milan completing any deadline day business, but it remains to be seen if the management will try again for Osorio when the window reopens again in a few months.

  1. What a joke are we becoming, we can’t bid 10 mil for a player WE belive is a great prospect. In the summer he will go to Europe for at least 15 mil. So no ned for Milan to try then.

    1. The problem with this is the inflation in the South American market recently. La Liga and Premier League clubs have been paying large sums for Brazilian and Argentine league players, so now even the Chilean club expects far more than would have been the case in the recent past. This isn’t a Milan problem as much as a Serie A problem. 5 mil plus bonuses is a reasonable price for a talented player who has proved almost nothing. The prices have just gone up.

  2. NON AVEVO DUBIO! CHE QUESTA SOCIETA NON CE’….. MA CHE STANNO FACENDO, MA DAI!!! , ANCHE HIO FAREI MEGLIO DI LORO… MA QUANTI OPPORTUNITA DOBIAMO ANCORA PERDERE, PER RINFORZARE LA SQUADRA. NON SONO MAI PREPARATI, MAI… COME SI FA A NON PRENDERE UN PORTIERE E UN ALA DESTRA ALMENO… IL MIO MILAN SIE SPENTO!!! NEL TUTTO IL SENSO..
    SKUZATE IL MIO ITALIANO..

  3. Has Milan become such a small club?
    How embarrassing for Italian champions!

When you’re rock bottom on the market, you’re rock bottom on the pitch.

The fans are the club. When you give them no hope, the club suffers

    1. Don’t worry, they will win titles sustainably in 7-8 years…Champions League semi finals and finals incoming in 10-12 years. That is the way to go, it is just that other title winning clubs don’t know it yet. 😂

P.S Why are people talking about Maldini when HE SAID THIS WILL HAPPEN. Literally said that Milan needs a few good signings to take the next step and US owners who call it soccer denied…

P.S Why are people talking about Maldini when HE SAID THIS WILL HAPPEN. Literally said that Milan needs a few good signings to take the next step and US owners who call this game soccer denied…We couldn’t get that muppet that owns Chelsea and is buying everyone, we got the poor man’s version of US owners. Incredible.

  4. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Big up for Cardinale, the way to go. When you can’t but a kid from South America for 10M€. Meanwhile Real bought Endrick for 60M€. Chelsea is buying everyone and anyone. PSG as well. Can’t wait to see the future of Milan…😂😂

    1. Those teams spending, in this case to South American teams especially, are the REASON Milan can’t get him for a reasonable price. I don’t know why you are so gleeful about it. There is not an owner in Serie A who can compete with that spending. You’re essentially twerking in the shop window hoping a sugar daddy walks buy and decides to buy you? It’s not happening. If it does, it ends like the last “non-American” ownership situation did. If that’s what you want, I don’t know what to tell you.

    2. You are so dumb. Chelsea is the only team overpaying for players in this winter transfer window (plus they spent 300m the previous season to win the UCL). No other team is buying. We can’t compete with EPL money. Has nothing to do with the owner or how rich they are, you simply have to spend what you make. And EPL simply has more money being made esp through broadcast rights than any other league. We have to watch 10m more closely than other clubs do because we don’t have that kind of money
