Sky: Milan’s strategy for the January window outlined – targeted investments in talent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking for more smart signings in the January transfer window, it is claimed, with the priorities now clearly outlined.

For the Rossoneri the task will be to plug some of the gaps that have emerged in an otherwise very competitive squad which appears to have a nice balance and mix of personalities.

According to what Peppe di Stefano has told Sky Italia (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri are looking for young players with high potential like Alexis Saelemaekers, Sandro Tonali and Theo Hernandez – essentially players who can increase in value over time.

The priority is to sign a new central defender, then Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will move on to signing a midfielder even though Rade Krunic will not be transferred next month.

At the moment there is little chance of a deputy to Zlatan Ibrahimovic arriving. If one does arrival, it will be a young players with the same characteristics.
