AC Milan currently seem less likely to sign Serhou Guirassy in January for a few reasons, one of which is because they might try to sign a winger instead.
One of the hottest names linked to Milan in the last few days and weeks has been Guirassy, given that the management were previously expected to go out and sign a new centre-forward to lend Olivier Giroud a hand.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Guirassy has opened to the idea of leaving Stuttgart in the January transfer window for the right project, and Milan seem willing to pay the €17m required to sign him.
However, Sky correspondent Peppe Di Stefano gave an update regarding Milan’s plans for the January mercato during a live segment and he explained why Guirassy is currently unlikely to join, but why a move in attack could still happen.
“As regards the attack, the Guirassy chances are increasingly decreasing due to the high competition, because Jovic is doing well, because he has a high salary and because Milan could only have Jovic, Giroud, Leao and Pulisic in January,” he said (via Radio Rossonera).
“Chukwueze will go to join his national team and Okafor is injured. This is why maybe, if you have to make an effort, you can make any reasoning for a winger and not for a centre-forward. But it’s still all a work in progress.”

how about Luka Romero? He’s a winger, he has done acceptable when called upon. He looks like is going the way Adli is going, great pre-season and forgotten during the season but somehow doing well whenever called.

Just like when any transfer window approaches, we’re linked with everyone, and contradictory signing. One minute we’re signing a striker, then it’s no we don’t need a striker we need a winger, then it’s we’re signing a midfielder, or maybe no midfielder but a center back. Round and round it goes, and round and round the fights in the comments sections. Too funny. It’s kind of a like a sport within a sport.
