There was a peaceful but important discussion between the AC Milan players and the staff at Milanello on Thursday to discuss the draw with Cremonese, a report claims.
As has been reported by Sky Sport (via Milan News), the players and coaches had to have a serious and frank talk at training to try and work out what exactly went wrong against Cremonese.
With the race for the top four places being so tight, there is almost no margin for error. That is why drawing 1-1 at home against a Cremonese team who are in the relegation zone is very concerning.
What is even more concerning is that up until the dying minutes of the game, Milan were 1-0 down thanks to a David Okereke goal which did not paint Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw in a good light.
The players are aware that the levels simply must improve for the game against Lazio at the weekend.

Milan lost this season: 4 points against Cremonese, 2 Lecce, 2 Salernitana, 2 Empoli.
That’s 10 points against 4 teams which are not so attractive in Serie A by comparison to all other clubs.
This year so 2023 Monza scored more points than we did this season is a disaster masked by CL perfomances …..

The most annoying thing about Milan game approach is that they know the importance of those matches instead of going direct for goal they would just be passing the ball backwards or sideways no urgency in their attack as if draw is okay with them
That would be piolis fault but Milan kill many attacking opportunities with the “reset”.
That is part training and part lack of creativity from the bench players who started those matches.
Full concentrated in last 5 match serie A and semifinal champion league. Maybe doing Ritiro ?
Milan do not need players who are afraid to be blamed, or who do not wish to assume responsibilities.

Diaz missed a clear header. CDK had a great chance to score but was too slow. In these remaining games, our killer instincts was supposed to have risen. If somr players are only brutal against a big team and look like vegetable against smaller teams then they need to be shown the exit. Our second team should be able to beat cremesone
What happened is we saw kittens on the pitch. Not the true devils we know them to be. No flair, no envy, no fire. Cremonese did no fear us. That needs to change. Every defense must fear us.
