Sky: Positive update arrives regarding the fitness of Milan captain Romagnoli

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli has almost fully recovered from the calf injury which saw him miss the end of the 2019-20 season.

Romagnoli missed the last three league games of last season and many assumed he would be fit and ready for preseason, but given there was only a three week rest period for players, Romagnoli reported at Milanello still showing signs of the problem.

However, according to what Peppe Di Stefano has reported for Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Romagnoli is in fact moving towards a full recovery and should very soon have fully disposed of the calf injury sustained at the end of July.

The Rossoneri No.13 will therefore try to return for next week’s friendlies, with games against Novara, Monza and Vicenza to come in the next couple of weeks before the qualification process begins for the Europa League.

Meanwhile, it has been suggested that there is optimism regarding a new deal for the 26-year-old, which you can read about here.
