Christian Pulisic remains the man for the big occasion, as he continues to score big goals in big games for AC Milan.
Milan struck gold by signing Pulisic from Chelsea for €20m. Even though he had been excellent in his first two seasons at San Siro, he is somehow outdoing himself again in 2025-26, despite having an injury issue that kept him out for around a month meaning he is still not even at 100%.

The winning goal in the derby on Sunday night was just the latest big-game moment for the USA international, who also netted twice against Inter last season too. Now, there is talk of the management sitting down with his entourage to try and agree a renewal.
In fact, nobody in Serie A has more goals and assists than Pulisic since the start of the 2023-24 season when he arrived at the club (48, tied with Lautaro Martinez).
Pulisic ‘very close’ to Milan
Peppe Di Stefano spoke live on Sky outside Milanello on Tuesday afternoon and he shared his thoughts on Pulisic, the man who continues to be Milan’s talisman.
“I call Pulisic essential. Milan may not depend on him, but when he’s there, his presence is noticeable. He’s an attacking midfielder who can play as a winger, a second striker ad even as a striker,” he said (via MilanNews).

“He knows how to score goals. He’s not spectacular in the sense that he never overdoes what he does, but he’s very essential in his way of working and thinking. He’s always present at Milanello and is highly regarded by the group.
“Ironically, at the start of this season, having missed four games due to injury, he’s showing his best performances of any season since he’s been at Milan. He’s scored seven goals in ten games, six of them from the start.
“He’s very close to the Rossoneri environment, and there’s even talk of a contract renewal, which he deserves: his career seemed to be in decline from Chelsea to Milan, because he wasn’t performing as well as he does now. He can play every role in the attack well.”

Always shade. “Milan may not depend on him” “he’s not spectacular in that he never overdoes what he does”
Why do so many compliments for Pulisic also have to include the negatives? As an American and a Milan fan I know I am biased, but this guy has been a stud since he’s been 17. Dortmund and Chelsea coaches kept overlooking him even though he produced. But all four of his Milan coaches have totally understood what they have in Pulisic and he has become dominant! It’s time the media came around to this. He is a world class player, who is still in ascension.
Once Milan secure CL, I’m sure Puli will renew. Surely he knows that this club puts him in positions to perform whereas in the PL it was always hit & miss. Hard to know for sure – maybe Puli wants to try something new while he’s still young.
Also Milan understand how clutch Puli has been. In fact the difference between Chris and Lauti is that the American always scores clutch goals in big games, whereas Lauti scores against lower teams and chokes in big games.
I agree that he will sign when they secure CL. He’s played in the CL most every year he’s been a pro and having to miss it this year is probably the reason he hasn’t signed yet.
I have been following Pulisic since his days at Dortmund. He has unique skills that most football coaches, owners and fans do not understand or appreciate. He has the added burden that he is not German or English or Italian. He is American and how many times have I heard, what does Americans know about football? He has at least 10
more years to demonstrate his unbelievable skills.
