Sky: Romagnoli agrees €17m contract with Lazio and will soon be announced

By Oliver Fisher -

Alessio Romagnoli’s next club appears to be all but confirms as he has reached an agreement over terms with Lazio, according to a report.

According to what Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews) is claiming, the operations that will see Romagnoli join Lazio is complete. After a long negotiation, the centre-back accepted a five-year contract for around €3.4m net per season, which is therefore a deal worth €17m net and just under double in gross (before tax).

In the next few days the medical visits and contract signing will take place as well as the official announcement. Romagnoli will therefore say goodbye to Milan after seven seasons, four of which he served as captain.

His last action for the club will end up having been raising the Scudetto to the sky, but with his contract having expired on June 30 he will now depart on a free transfer after over half a decade.

  1. Always a great professional and always gave his best.
He didn’t turn out to be a great defender as we hoped when Milan spent 25 mil but never the less he was still the most stable point during the most crazy time for the club.
Glad that he closed out his Milan tenure as a champion.
Good luck and all the best to him at Lazio and hopefully returns to the Italian NT
