Ismael Bennacer is back at AC Milan’s training ground for the first time since he suffered a serious knee injury last season that required surgery.
As reported by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, the Algerian midfielder is now carrying out individual work in the the Carnago Sports Centre after spending several months in rehabilitation.
Bennacer got the cartilage injury in his left knee just before the Champions League derby against Inter last season and he has been out of action ever since.
The countdown now begins to his return but there is likely to be another two months of individual work for Bennacer which means it could be December before he is even seen on the grass at Milanello.
It is one thing to heal the injury but it is another to get match fit with his teammates. Another key factor is the African Cup of Nations which takes place in January. He may be aiming to return there.
Yyyeeeeeaaahhh Benny!!! Cmon
AFCON? Homeboy better get his priorities straight. All this rehab and work is for a return to the pitch at Milan, not AFCON. I hope Milan can block it.
AFCON was the reason Milan bought Bennacer. Have some respect to our tournament @ACM1899
