SM: Galliani looks for alternatives as Taremi situation blocks Colombo-Monza deal

The difficulties that AC Milan are having in signing Mehdi Taremi have a knock-on effect which complicated things for Adriano Galliani’s Monza.

As our colleagues at SempreMilan.it report, Milan are working to try and complete the operation that would see Taremi arrive from Porto before tomorrow’s deadline, given that Iranian striker is the chosen target to become the new alternative to Olivier Giroud.

The plan of the management was to sign Taremi and then send Lorenzo Colombo out on loan to Monza, who have had an agreement in place for some time just waiting for the green light.

However, the complications relating to Taremi have put Monza on edge because Milan cannot free Colombo to go and join them, after they in turn just allowed Andrea Petagna to join Cagliari.

It is a succession of events that has unnerved the CEO of Monza – Adriano Galliani – who will now also evaluate other alternatives in these final hours of the transfer market.
