SM: Leao aware of PSG interest – Milan will ‘not be flexible’ on price

AC Milan will not budge when it comes to the price that they will demand for Rafael Leao amid reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain, we have been told.

According to what Matteo Moretto has told The Daily Briefing – which is part of our network Rocket Sports – Milan will ask for Leao’s €175m release clause to be paid in full if he is to depart the club in the summer.

The journalist did confirm that the Portuguese winger has been made aware of PSG’s interest in view of the 2024-25 season, given that the Ligue 1 giants will likely lose Kylian Mbappé and thus need an attacking reinforcement.

Moretto told The Daily Briefing that negotiations between Milan and PSG have not yet begun and the management of the Rossoneri will ‘not be flexible’, meaning they will point to his €175m clause if the approach.

Of course, the Ligue 1 champions will probably try to bring the price down by opening talks, and they will hope that the player is tempted by the move too.

Milan are able to enjoy some leverage regarding the former Lille man given he signed a contract extension with the club until 2028 last year, which included an increase in his buy-out figure.
