SM: Tendon damage and flexor issue – the latest on Pobega and Okafor

AC Milan have communicated news regarding the condition of four players, including Tommaso Pobega and Noah Okafor who came off during the win over Monza yesterday.

As the club have confirmed to us, Pobega and Okafor underwent tests on their respective injuries. Both players were withdrawn during Sunday’s 3-0 victory against Monza with a hip and thigh problem respectively.

Pobega suffered damage involving the tendon component of the rectus femoris which inserts into the left hip. The lesion will have a new check-up in a week and a specialist evaluation, in order to choose the most appropriate treatment.

Okafor, who left the pitch after feeling a cramp-like sensation in his left thigh, suffered an injury to a deep flexor muscle, the semimembranosus. He will be re-evaluated in a week.

The checks that Marco Sportiello and Marco Pellegrino also underwent confirmed the recovery of both from their calf injury and foot fracture respectively.
