Sport: Barcelona defender rejects West Ham in favour of Milan but LaLiga side block exit

Barcelona defender Junior Firpo has rejected an offer from West Ham United because he would only leave for AC Milan, a report claims.

According to Sport, Barcelona have practically closed their winter market because Ronald Koeman does not want any more exits, meaning Firpo seems likely to stay. The left-back had a firm offer from Milan to leave on loan for the next six months, but the LaLiga giants have ruled out the operation in case they need him in the final stretch of the season.

Firpo has always been very reluctant to leave Barca and did not listen to offers last summer despite the fact that he was on the market. In recent weeks, West Ham called to ask about the former Betis man, but the player prioritised the possibility of playing on loan at Milan.

The Rossoneri wanted him on loan with an option to buy set at more than €20million and the agreement was close, but it seems as though for now everything is on stand-by.
