Sport: Milan in direct competition with Arsenal for LaLiga playmaker with €40m clause

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to battle Arsenal for the signing of Espanyol midfielder Marc Roca this summer, according to the latest reports from Spain.

It was reported by MilanNews on Sunday night that Milan have set their sights upon the 23-year-old playmaker, with the outlet adding that the club have made several enquiries and that his contract expires in 2022.

The Spaniard has made 24 appearances in LaLiga and has scored two goals so far this season. He mainly operates as a playmaker, and the Rossoneri are ‘very interested’ in view of the summer window.

According to what is being reported by Sport, the player has a release clause of €40million and has already received an offer from Arsenal regarding a summer move.

Now, he is waiting for Espanyol to negotiate with Arsenal directly to try and find a deal, but Milan could make their decisive assault if there were to be any issues or stalling from the English side.
