Samuel Umtiti has been impressive during his loan spell with Lecce this season and AC Milan are pondering a summer move, a report claims.
As reported by Sport, Barcelona are convinced that they will be able to sell Umtiti permanently during the summer window despite the fact that they may get a much lower return than the €25m they paid to sign him from Lyon (via Wiki).
Roma are one of the teams who are interested in landing Umtiti, as they seem like they will be disappointed in the race to sign Evan N’Dicka, while Inter and Milan are also keen on signing him.
Lecce would like another loan deal, but this option can be ruled out despite the fact that the player is very grateful to his current club. Barça have given permission to Umtiti’s entourage to negotiate his future, and the 29-year-old is free to find another club.
Umtiti is under contract for another three years so the Blaugrana are not keen on letting him go for free, especially with clubs willing to pay a transfer fee.
