AC Milan are in talks with the agent of Mario Gotze over the potential of a summer move from PSV Eindhoven, a journalist has claimed.
According to Patrick Berger of Sport1, the future of Götze is uncertain heading into the summer even though he has a contract with PSV until 2024. Benfica with their new coach Roger Schmidt are trying to sign him, however Milan ‘are in the race too’.
Berger adds that there are talks ongoing between Götze’s agents and the Rossoneri, and he has a €4-5m release clause which would make him very affordable.
Given the struggles that Brahim Diaz endured last season in the role of playmaker, the ex-German international – who scored 4 goals and added 4 assists in 29 Eredivisie games this season – could be seen as an experienced reinforcement for the attack.
However, it does seem to go against the usual philosophy of signing young players to develop into being part of the future core.
Love this period of the year. Any possible (or not) case becomes a “target”.
Fantasy football at its best.
kkkkkk!
4+4 in Eredivision? So how’s that an improvement over Diaz? It’s not.
Rubbish is this statement signing they are taking about????…investcorp would have been better… what happened to berradi..or scamacar links
fuck your investcorp scammers
This guy still plays football.
I’ll rather play saelemakers at 10 than this guy.
He was only good 10 years ago when he was still at Borussia Dortmind the first go around
Yeah, I don’t think so.
He is almost 30 and his stats are pretty bad. There is literally no chance he is a good fit for us. Definitely not better than Diaz.
Spend that money on an 18 yo talent instead and send him for a loan (to Monza?)
At the time he re-joined dortmund i would have been more than open to the idea but deffently not any longer but this is most likely some fabricated bs as the media has to come up with something while the european leagues lay asleep.
In fact Id rather bring out Patrik Berger from retirement instead 😀 just kidding but gotze is not really a solution i would go for and i doubt our management would either.
Milan philosophy
One of the more over-rated and average players.
Yeah, he had a good run at Dortmund but how long ago was that.
