SportBild: Milan and Juventus eyeing teenage Bremen defender with €2m clause

AC Milan are interested in signing young defender Fabio Chiarodia from Werder Bremen along with rivals Juventus, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by German source SportBild, Werder Bremen’s 18-year-old centre-back Fabio Chiarodia is attracting interest from clubs domestically and abroad, with  Borussia Mönchengladbach keen.

The asking price would only be €2m if they were to sign him before the end of June because of a clause in his current deal, which runs out in 2024, and Bremen have so far failed to tie him down to an extension.

However, the report mentions that Milan and Juventus also targeting the young talent, who actually set the record for the youngest player in Bremen’s history when he made his debut for back in October against Freiburg.

He made one start against Mönchengladbach in March, but has still shown enough to tempt the three clubs mentioned who could take advantage of that low release clause. Chiarodia is also an Italy U19 international.

  1. If we got a good bid for Kalulu (30mn+) or Gabbia (10mn+) we could consider Chiarodia, 5th choice CB with decent potential plus we could use the funds to bolster our transfer budget in other positions.
