Sportitalia: Renato Sanches one of three midfielders offered to Milan in talks with Mendes

AC Milan have been offered three different midfielders by agent Jorge Mendes in talks over Rafael Leao’s renewal, a journalist has claimed.

According to Rudy Galetti of Sportitalia, the Rossoneri are currently in talks with Mendes over extending Leao’s contract. He signed a five-year deal back in 2019 but the management seem to have taken a more proactive approach to renewing key players given the sagas that occurred with Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu.

The journalist writes that Leao was not the only player talked about during the Leao discussions as three central midfielders were proposed to the Rossoneri. The first is Renato Sanches of Lille, who has found his form again after a difficult time.

Vitinha of Porto was also proposed to Milan, as was the highly rated Sporting CP midfielder Palhinha. It is worth noting that Milan might have to replace Franck Kessie next summer if he does not renew his deal, so any of the aforementioned profiles could be deemed useful.
