AC Milan have two less rivals in the race to sign Lille defender Sven Botman, according to what a journalist in England is reporting.
Botman has been linked with a move to the Rossoneri for several months and the links are still concrete, but there are more and more suggestions of a potential hijack from England. Gianluca Di Marzio reported last night for example that Milan might need to watch out for Manchester United and Tottenham this summer as they look at potential alternatives to Inter’s Alessandro Bastoni.
According to The Times journalist Jacque Talbot, the links between Botman and a potential move to either Tottenham and Manchester United ‘do not have much substance at this point’.
Instead, he adds that the focus is on the Dutchman completing a move to ‘AC Milan or Newcastle’ at the moment, so if the information is correct then the Rossoneri are dealing with two less rivals.
