Standard: Arsenal open a route for Milan summer target to leave the club

By Ben Dixon -

AC Milan explored several avenues before and during the January mercato, but they were unsuccessful in their pursuits. A report has suggested that there could be a chance to revisit one of their winter targets in the summer, though.

In the leadup to the winter mercato opening, Milan were infatuated with Jakub Kiwior, and this link never died down, with the club attempting to tempt Arsenal with a move on two occasions during the month.

However, a report from The Standard has claimed that there is now an exit route for Kiwior, which could make the Rossoneri try once again in the summer months.

Arsenal made it clear that the Polish defender was not for sale in January, given he has featured semi-regularly in the past month, however, an exit in the summer may be encouraged, given the Gunners are interested in bringing in a new defender themselves.

The report suggests that Mikel Arteta’s side are plotting a move for Jorrel Hato, which could make them open to offers for Kiwior, who would see his game time diminish if their attempt to sign Hato is successful.

    1. Just bring in Hato, then Loan Kiwior to Milian.

Arsenal have too many defenders (Timber, Tomiyaso, White, Sailba, Gabriel, Rekik, Tierney, Tavares, Zinchenko & Cedric) so bringing in someone in like Hato- were have to loan or sell a few to raise funds.
