Standard: Chelsea to reject Milan’s advances for young striker

By Euan Burns -

Chelsea are planning to reject any advance that AC Milan may make for young striker Armando Broja this summer, a report claims.

As has been reported by the Evening Standard in the United Kingdom, the Premier League side do not want to let Broja leave this summer.

The 21-year-old Albanian striker is now viewed as an important part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for Chelsea, but Milan and West Ham have both showed very serious interest.

Milan were hoping to secure a loan deal for Broja so that they can have a strong backup for Olivier Giroud and can loan Lorenzo Colombo.

Broja is on the verge of making his comeback after he suffered a serious knee injury last December. Chelsea are no longer planning to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus and are therefore not expecting to sign another striker this summer.

They have still got Romelu Lukaku on the books but he is not training with the team.
