Study explains why Milan are the ‘fastest growing football brand in the world’

AC Milan are the fastest growing football brand in the world at the moment thanks to their recent on-field success, a study has revealed.

The Rossoneri became champions of Italy for a 19th time after a 3-0 victory against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium on Sunday, and after returning to the Champions League last season the feeling is that the club are on an upward trajectory.

According to what is being reported by BrandFinance (via Twitter), a first league title win in 11 years means that Milan have taken huge strides towards recovering their former status among Europe’s elite clubs.

The brand value shot up 76% to €269m, with the Rossoneri achieving the fastest growth in both brand value and brand strength. The club’s Brand Strength Index increased by 6.8 points to 77.2 out of 100, earning a rating of AA+.

In doing so, Milan improved its brand valuation ranking by 12 places. Milan’s brand value is still 16% below their pre-pandemic 2019 brand value high of €321m, so there is further room for growth.
