Igli Tare and Massimiliano Allegri will meet with the AC Milan leadership and ask for more funds for the summer window, a report claims.
Milan are planning for the summer mercato step by step, ahead of its reopening on July 1 after the special Club World Cup window. That particular window brought the sale of Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City, and an agreement for the arrival of Luka Modric on a free transfer from Real Madrid.

However, the business is far from done: in fact it has probably only just started. Tare and Allegri are already busy planning and making progress in contacts to secure the next signings.
More budget requested
In this sense, Sportitalia (via Calciomercato.com) report that in the next few hours, a meeting is planned – it is yet to be understood whether it will be in person or (more likely) via video call – between Allegri, Tare, the CEO Giorgio Furlani and owner Gerry Cardinale.
The basis of the meeting between the sporting and the commercial sides of the club is the desire on the part of the coach and sporting director to ask about the possibility of having an extra budget for the summer, in addition to the request to distribute these resources as they see fit.
The budget can also increase if other players are sold, something which Tare is working on. On the other hand, there are various profiles in the notebook that have been identified as interesting for the new era.

Well, we cannot finance any operations that put in the question the sustainability of the club. Without Champion’s Leauge football, our 38 million euro summer budget has been reduced to nothing. Tijjani’s sale was to cover losses incurred in the winter window. All sales will be used to increase profits for shareholders to mitigate their concerns and disappointments from the drop in revenues next season, to cover for the possibility of further drops in revenue. We don’t need to see Mr. Tare, you do.

Yeah it’s the same since Elliott came in. They did a great job reducing a huge debt but it wasn’t in the interest of the club, we can see that ever since the club is not in debt anymore.
The salary cap is still here. Same as five years ago. They spend money, but only short term. They don’t extend top players on big contracts because it’s a long term commitment. Leao has been the only exception and Maldini fought hard to get there. He justified his extension by being a lifestyle icon that the club could market. All the players leaving for free, or Théo and Mike, know how hard it is to get some money from the stingy Furlani, the Cerberus of Elliott’s asset. So they will spend on low cost players, with low salaries, or maybe Modric on a very short term big contract. The goal is to spend only the budget available every year so there is no risk of going in debt again, therefore the value of Milan is optimised. Running a football club like a widget factory is the perfect plan to ruin its sporting relevance.
@Bartholomeo – well said. they have to keep overhead (salaries, transfers, expenses) low until he sells in 2028 when the vendor loan is due. Can’t refinance it again as its already at 15% interest on 500M – that’s 75M in interest payments alone per year. And without UCL $$$ – we aren’t spending – but will be selling to cover losses (Tiji as u pointed out) and keep shareholders happy. same sh*t cycle over and over again.

For me the only hope there in the whole contallatioin no matter how they meet is TARE. The other two have a known track record
