Igli Tare and Giorgio Furlani have expressed calm regarding the renewal of Christian Pulisic amid reports he has put things on pause.
Earlier in the year, reports emerged suggesting that Pulisic was all set to sign a contract extension with Milan. His deadline would be pushed back one year, with a pay rise as recognition for having been the most consistent performer over the past couple of seasons.

However, Matteo Moretto recently confirmed that the American had put a pause on things because he wanted to understand what the clubs plans are moving forward, especially after such a poor 2024-25 season and with no European football to come.
Milan management address rumours
Tare was present in front of journalists at Casa Milan at a press conference to answer questions about the plans for 2025-26 and beyond. Among the topics he was asked about was the future of Pulisic.
“He will be a key player for next season: I will have the opportunity to discuss the renewal with Giorgio at the right time but right now we are only focused on the team,” he said.
“I think he was one of the most positive players last season and he is one of the pillars of the season to come: he has a central role in this group.”
Furlani spoke alongside the new sporting director and he too was quizzed on whether the American will remain or not.
“Christian still has three years left on his contract with Milan: it’s not a super emergency. From the club and ownership point of view, he’s a very important player,” he said.

Maybe the reason he hasn’t said anything is because Tare/Allegri have convinced him to at least give them the chance. If I were Puli, I’d be pretty optimistic about the future with the guys they’re looking at for the midfield.
A pillar like Reinjders….
I wouldn’t call him a pillar. Might just be me but ever since the city contacts last year, he’s been playing for himself all year how does freaking fofana has 9 assists while every single day we praise him for his passing or an article drops on him being the best midfielder in the world. I don’t really believe in his Milanista crap when his father said he didn’t move to Barcelona because he thought his son would be a bench player there…. If Pulisic isn’t a pillar we don’t have any pillars. The only advice to give to his haters is, think of him as Croatian.
Captain Croatia doesn’t have the same ring to it.
The “pillar” comment was not meant toward Pulisic but Reinjders. Also, Reinjders was not pushed out of Milan. As soon as Man City contacted his father the transfer was going to happen. Milan should make Pulisic the Captain since he possesses the attributes of a player they can trust on and off the pitch.
