Reports: Tare ‘one step away’ from getting Milan job – the final steps

After months of back and forth with hiring a new sporting director, AC Milan are finally making a move for one.

It is a process which has been ongoing for far too long, and with the chosen candidate, this only rings more true. Yesterday afternoon, it was reported that Igli Tare was the leading candidate once again, and things are moving quickly.

In fact, Matteo Moretto reports that only the agreement needs to be defined now between the two, as reports tell us, this decision is largely due to issues in the chase for Tony D’Amico.

Final talks are scheduled for the next few days, and an agreement should be found by the start of next week, allowing him to step foot into the office as soon as the season is done, as Gianluca Di Marzio writes. Though we know that he has already been planning for the job, so there is no need to panic about timings.

Considering the Rossoneri first met with Tare and had an agreement seemingly sorted before Giorgio Furlani took charge, it is not a good look for the club. However, we can only focus on the future now, especially after this season.

It is a big role to walk into in the Diavolo’s current state, and the pressure will instantly be on.

  1. What would he do ???

After reading what Boban said I have zero confidence in this meeting incompetent schmucks.

Tare’s best achievement was to get Lazio to finish fourth in the league instead of fifth or sixth as they used to.
Remember that he is the one that got the rock Romagnoli to support Lazio’s defense and Muriqi for attack. Brace yourselves Milanista and keep Conference league as your highest goal as long as Shitbird is in control.

    1. Well… In Tare’s defense, they were competing against far superior clubs. They don’t have the resources to really compete.

  2. A panic move because of announced protest for Saturday’s last game.

However, Tare is not a bad choice at all. Knows the league, has experience and good reputation among Lazio players.

    1. Tare is low hanging fruit… They managed even to turn the appointment of a figure we need into a disappointment.

What Autonomy wil Tare actually have with the same idiots still in place? Furlani will still have the final say on transfers so what can Tare actually do?

Either way it seems that the agreement is actually already there for Tare…

      1. Not to mention Tare was available for a while and they could have taken him in January to plan the season ahead. Instead, again and again, they fail to plan and are just now willing to take him into the end of MAY!

      2. I am usually the one throwing remarks and punches before a newcomer, be it player or coach, even steps through Milanello doorway (I was actually right in most cases). But I’m willing to give Tare a chance. What matters the most is, he’ll be there for our players and Lazio players have nothing but positive things to say about him. And he sure knows how to work with difficult executives and owners.

    2. We needed him to secure Milinkovic-Savic, it never happened, so will he give us any benefit, let’s wait and see

  3. Very interesting combo Tare and Sarri in my opinion. They did great together while at Lazio. My only concern is the amount of power that Tare will be given by Foolani. Tare’s and Sarri’s results are obvious and their experience can only help us, but then again it all comes down to Foolani and rest of the clowns up top.

  4. Main problem still remains unresolved. Furlani has power ego, just like Scaroni and he still has final say in everything. That’s the main reason why they were avoiding coaches with big personalities.

  5. Tare definitely knows more about football than any of our idiots that run the show now. The problem is that those idiots will run the show. Tare’s hands will tied up. Too many politics and shot callers. Lotito is super easy to work with compared with these bankers that know nothing about the game. True relief and progress comes when these bankers sell our club.
