After links in the past couple of weeks, Thiago Silva’s stance regarding his future has been outlined: he wants to return to AC Milan.
Last month, La Repubblica broke the sensational news that Milan are giving serious thought to the idea of bringing Thiago Silva back, 13 years after he departed for Paris Saint-Germain along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, his agent then poured cold water on the idea, but reports from his homeland suggested that the centre-back is indeed keen on potentially coming back to Europe, to be closer to his family based in London.
Thiago dreaming of second stint
According to Corriere della Sera, Thiago Silva is tied to Fluminense until June 2026, but despite being 41 years of age, he intends to end his illustrious career on a high note.
More specifically, he is hoping for six months in Europe before the World Cup. His ambition is to wear the Rossoneri shirt again. He has knocked on the Rossoneri’s door, but so far no one has said ‘come in’.
Corriere dello Sport stated this morning that Milan have doubts about the idea of bringing Thiago Silva back, mainly related to his age and the role that he would want, given the already established three-man defence.

I thought management learnt from modric and rabiot signing. Our most experienced CB is “mr hand ball” tomori. We need xp’ed sweeper at back line. Thiagos might still able to compete in Serie A. And also lewan-goal-goal-ski or Mauro…yep..Icardi
I’d take Silva over Ramos any day of the week. If it turns out he’s still better than what we have at 41 — and I know this is a crazy idea — maybe he should start? Competition between players is healthy anyway, I don’t get what the problem is….
Milan management won’t ever learn 😭 cause I don’t see why they won’t jump at the opportunity of signing Silva anytime anyday
The only way I would accept this transfer is that he will be a backup but bring in some leadership to the locker room help while helping other players develop a bit further and then called upon here and there if absolutely necessary but that is not what is in the cards if he wants to get into the Brazilian World Cup squad according to the article. When that is said it was recently also said that he wanted to honor his contract with Fluminense so I doubt this is actually gonna happen.
6 month-1 year contract to Silva, get Lucumi on top, loan out Odogu
I like Silva.
But its to late he is too old.
He was injury proned before and Will be even more proned now.
We all know this management won’t find or spend on any real quality at centerback. So taking Silva on for 6 mo’s isn’t a bad deal.
