AC Milan defender Malick Thiaw has thanked the Rossoneri fans for their support following the victory over Torino at San Siro on Friday night.
The German defender took to Instagram to share images of the game in which he made a rare start.
Stefano Pioli decided that he would be well suited to the new 3-5-2 formation as he has experience playing in a back three from his time at Schalke 04.
It proved to be a good choice as Thiaw was one of Milan’s most impressive players and helped the side to a rare clean sheet and for 2023, only a second victory.
Thiaw has had a very slow start to his time at Milan with minimal impact until this point. That is why he felt obliged to thank the fans on social media after the game for the patience and support that they have showed to him.
“Important victory! Thanks for the great support,” Thiaw wrote.
