Sergio Conceicao took the AC Milan job knowing it was not going to be a linear project, and today, an article has looked at the three main frustrations of his time so far.
With the situation that Milan found themselves in, it was never going to be easy to recover the season. Everyone knew this, and no one expected different. That does not, however, mean that a coach cannot have frustrations with details. Especially if they are details that can be the difference.
Gazzetta dello Sport has listed the three things that has frustrated the coach the most so far today, and they are not a surprise.
The first issue has been the habits of coaching Milan. Against Como, the Portuguese head coach partook in media duties before the game for the first time in his career. His response? He was ‘boiling’. A clear sign that he will probably not do pre-match words to the media again, if he has to, he may ‘bite’.
Then, on the pitch, the Rossoneri have started games poorly. Despite mainly conceding in the second halves, the first intervals have not shown to be promising, and this is something that must be changed sooner rather than later.
“It was the worst first half since I’ve been coaching” and “You need hunger, to get to the end of the games knowing you’ve given your all,” are just two quotes from the head coach about his team. Improvement is certainly needed.
Finally, defensively there have also been frustrations. The Rossoneri concede poor goals of a similar style regularly, and the coach has voiced his concern and anger about this already. Once again, there needs to be changes, but with his frustrations, this will already be known by the squad.
Oh, he was one of those guys. Always angry about everything and nothing is ever his fault. He better get results because I can see that wearing thin pretty quick.
Makes me long for Pioli.
But I like him. That way these are player’s needs to level up too
3 wins, 1 draw. Don’t think he’s doing that bad so far, bud. He can’t work miracles with some of these players. He needs reinforcements like in midfield and at RB.
Why respond to the k legged comment.
I was about to but noticed who wrote it. Not worth it. I’d rather bang my head against the wall.
Oh… Didn’t know his history. I don’t really read comments on here enough.
I guess K isn’t a smart person lol
You would probably have a more stimulating conversation with the wall tbh
His main frustration is incompetent management up top.
Who the heck asks about the mercato when the coach is preparing for the next game?
His second frustration are those dumbass italian journalists who keep asking about the market when all he wants to do is talk about the MATCH.
Italian Insanity at it’s finest…
Let’s talk about the management or lack of at the top-level.
Furlani flies off to Germany with Moncada in tow and?????
Nothing from their management skills in transfers to build a squad for the new managers, Conceicao.
Milan linger in the middle of the table and this is un-acceptable to this club.
What rating should we give Furlani, Ibra, and Moncada?
Maybe a zero point one for showing up?
I mean I’d be livid too if my owners were trying to sell to our direct rivals mid season, just to make the books look a little nicer
Lol. He is already exoressing his frustration in under 4 games. If it was Fonseca he would be labelled as a cry baby, throwing his team under the bus. Fonseca as terrible as he was, was a scape goat for our clueless management.
I am sure he is very mad at the trio that are supposed to manage milan and are just one huge mess!!!! They do not have the balls to send juventus to hell to stop them chasing tomori.
The very thought of getting a 34 year old woman chaser and sending a 27 year old to juventus make me boil all over…..
Fukc furlani, ibra, moncada and cardinale …..
I agree with the fans.Management must go.The DNA of Milan must be brought back with Italians and then real bankable foreign players. Not American players because management is American and not Portuguese players because coach is Portuguese. These transfers of Milan make make no sense and I think we should boycott watching Milan till they understand. I dream of the day when we have Italians managing our top clubs as Italians are the greatest tactitians in my opinion. Then Italian identity must be given priority. I despised Inter in the old days as they literally only had foreign players like Arsenal in the Premier League. Now the tables have turned and Inter has more identity than Milan.
I stand corrected but if you look who is in top of Serie A are teams who still have Italian identity and Italian coaches. Why mess with that recipe as it works. football is not NBA or American Football. Italy is one if the countries with football in their blood.4 World cups to show and mostly a.dominant presence in world football.Since these new foreign owners have entered Italian football we have become the laughing stock missing 2 World cup qualifications.Need I say more.
