TMW: Fitness updates on two AS Roma players ahead of Milan clash

By Euan Burns -

AS Roma are certainly going to be without Spanish defender Diego Llorente for the match against AC Milan but Paulo Dybala’s situation is still unknown, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttomercatoweb.com (via Milan News), the Giallorossi had a very costly trip to Bergamo to take on Atalanta on Monday night.

Jose Mourinho’s side were without Chris Smalling and Georginio Wijnaldum through injury having played in the Europa League the Thursday prior, and they were then beaten 3-1 by La Dea.

As well as the scoreline, Diego Llorente and Paulo Dybala both picked up serious-looking injuries.

Llorente’s tests have shown a serious hamstring injury and he will certainly not be able to play and role against Milan on Sunday. As for Dybala, there is a sprain/bruising to his ankle and he will be evaluated right up until the match at the weekend.

He could be seen limping around the pitch in the final stages of the match.

  1. I watched the match and even I felt slight pain when I saw the angle that Dybala ankle twisted from Palomino tackle. Good news for us but I wished him speedy recovery. Amazing player, sorry that we aren’t bid for him when he is free.

    1. Yeah and we pick cdk in the end. But at least cdk’s not an injury prone player by far and has everything to be a good forward physically
