TMW: Milan ready to accelerate deal for midfield target

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are ready to push forward in their attempts to sign Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada from Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer, a report claims.

As has been reported by TMW (via Milan News), Milan are very keen on bringing Kamada to the club and have made up their mind that he should be signed quickly.

Given he is available without spending money on a transfer fee, Milan know that speed is needed to make sure the player is not snatched away.

Kamada is known to be keen on the move so all of the ingredients are in place for Milan to make a swift signing, should they act on their intentions.

The report claims that the deal is very close to being closed and signing Kamada will either add more depth to the attacking midfield area, or he could act as a replacement for Brahim Diaz should he return to Real Madrid.

  1. If we sign him I don’t see Diaz being retained. It wouldn’t make sense to spend the ~25m on him. I think this is a good thing. Kamada and CDK can compete for the playmaker role and the money can be reallocated to striker and right-winger.

  2. There are so many good players on a Bosman this year. Im surprised we are still considering payin oney for players, esp Loftus-Cheek, a good player but expensive.

  3. I’ll believe it until I see him signing at the Milanello. otherwise I’m not getting my hopes up especially not for such a good player

    1. This. We’ll be seeing about a hundred more articles/rumors such as this but they all mean nothing until Milan announce it themselves on their app and other media. Until then it’s just BS.
