TMW: Revolution continues with Milan expected to name new youth sector sporting director

By Oliver Fisher -

The revolution taking place in the AC Milan management will not just be restricted to the senior side as a key figure will leave the youth sector too, a report claims.

According to a report from TMW, Paolo Danzé will leave his role as the sporting director for the Primavera and U18 side of the Milan youth sector, with the ownership choosing to go for some fresh ideas beyond just the men’s first team.

Antonio D’Ottavio – who is currently the chief scout for the youth team and who has previously worked at Torino, Sunderland, and later Inter – could be given a promotion to become the sporting director for the youth sector.

D’Ottavio has been at Milan for six seasons and therefore knows the ropes well, and it is highly likely that Geoffrey Moncada as the chief scout and with more responsibility now has had a hand in engineering the change as part of his vision for the future.

  1. Doesn’t matter. Pioli doesn’t have the skills to build players anyway. These younguns will NEVER BE READY For Pioli’s .. ‘system’.

    1. Maybe the rumors regarding Pirlo were true. Maldini wanted him to replace Pioli but That American didn’t want his boyfriend Pioli to leave.
