TMW: Milan register interest in signing 20-year-old Braga centre-back with enquiry

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made enquiries with SC Braga regarding centre-back David Carmo ahead of a possible summer move, a report claims.

It is seemingly no secret that the Rossoneri are looking to reinforce their rearguard this summer with Ralf Rangnick’s possible arrival as the new manager as there are doubts over the futures of Simon Kjaer and Mateo Musacchio.

Tuttomercatoweb are reporting that 20-year-old Braga defender David Carmo has ended up in Milan’s sights as a possible summer target, and he is one of the young players being closest followed in Portuguese football with Sampdoria also keen.

Milan have probed the ground with Braga to find out about the player’s price having scouted him since before the break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For now there is no offer on the table but a registering of interest.

Carmo has made nine appearances for Braga’s senior side as well as seven outings for Portugal’s U20 national side.
