TMW: Thauvin determined to achieve Milan dream – he is not asking for a big pay rise

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are the favourites to land Florian Thauvin, a report claims, as the winger does not have extortionate requests.

According to TMW, the negotiation is moving ‘full speed ahead’ and there have been positive talks between the Rossoneri and the entourage of the Frenchman. Last summer, the Ligue 1 club valued the player at around €15million, but there were doubts about his recovery after the long stoppage due to injury.

The signs are good though as so far this season he has seven goals and nine assists in 28 appearances for Marseille making him easily OM’s best player so far, which is even more impressive given their struggles this season.

Almost every top club has asked for information, but Thauvin has already given his priority to Milan, the report adds. His current salary is €2.8m net per season and he would not ask for a significant increase from the Rossoneri, precisely because his dream is to play at San Siro.

His hope is to play in Serie A next season, though Roma, Napoli and Atalanta have also been linked and could provide competition.
