MN: Tomori unlikely to recover for the derby – trio train at Milanello despite day off

By Oliver Fisher -

Fikayo Tomori is currently not likely to recover for the derby against Inter at the weekend but his recovery is going well, according to a report.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Tomori carried out specific therapies and work despite the day off he was granted yesterday. The defender is doing his best to return as soon as possible, but the idea of him being back for the derby against Inter remains difficult to achieve.

The English centre-back underwent minor surgery on his knee after sustaining a meniscal problem during the Coppa Italia win against Genoa earlier in the month, with an initial expected recovery period of 30 days.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ante Rebic and Simon Kjaer were also present at Milanello yesterday to do their own training while the rest of the team will be back in this afternoon to continue preparations for the crucial game against the Nerazzurri.
