AC Milan are growing in hope that Fikayo Tomori could be fit to start the derby against Inter on Saturday evening, according to a report.
Tomori had meniscus surgery back on January 14 and at the time it was announced that his recovery period would be 30 days, but fast forward to two days before the game and there still seems to be a chance for him to start against the Nerazzurri.
According to MilanNews, with just over 48 hours left until the starting line-up has to be submitted at San Siro, optimism is rising that the Englishman could make an incredible recovery.
Tomori’s knee is responding well to the gradual increases in workload after the meniscus operation, and therefore the chances of him being called up for the match on Saturday night against Inter are increasing.
The choice will come tomorrow after the final training session takes place, but if before it was unlikely it now seems to be more in the balance, though no risks will be taken of course.
