Tuttosport: Tomori returns against Genoa – with him the defence have more speed and attention

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will welcome Fikayo Tomori back into their starting line-up for tomorrow’s game against Genoa and they will hope he can help prevent some of the errors that have recently manifested.

Team and individual mistakes have conditioned the last two league games for the Rossoneri as they conceded four times in a loss against Fiorentina and then three times against Sassuolo at San Siro on Sunday.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports this morning, Tomori is essential for the solidity of the Rossoneri’s rearguard because he is the only one able to recover his opponent with speed, a skill that often allows him to remedy the mistakes of his team-mates. The Englishman plays with a very high level of concentration and the last two games domestically have shown how crucial he is.

Of course his return provides a big boost, but more collective attention will be needed too because there will be games where he needs a rest or picks up another injury. Starting from the game against Genoa, the team must put things right.
