CM: Tonali to return from minute one vs. Atalanta – the plan for the new signings

After the win that AC Milan obtained in the first match of the season against Udinese, Stefano Pioli’s men must keep up the pace in a tricky trip to Atalanta.

Calciomercato.com report that there is some good news in view of the visit to Bergamo as Sandro Tonali has disposed of the flexor problem sustained against Vicenza in the last preseason friendly match and he will start the game at the Gewiss Stadium against Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

Ismael Bennacer will play alongside him with Rade Krunic ready to come off the bench as he so often did during the Scudetto winning campaign.

Finally Pioli is also spoilt for choice in attack, but the current feeling is that he will stick with the same line-up as was fielded against Udinese with Junior Messias on the right, Brahim Díaz in the playmaker role and Rafael Leão on the left plus Ante Rebic up front.

That means there will be chances off the bench for Charles De Ketelaere – who is getting close to being 100% adapted – plus Yacine Adli (who did not feature last Saturday), Olivier Giroud and Divock Origi too.

Ante Rebic will be confirmed as an offensive terminal: the Croatian striker is among the most in form and has already shown his scoring streak with a brace against Udinese.
