CM: Torino star still Milan’s priority amid €25m ‘agreement’ – swap deal possible

Compared to a year ago the head coach and sporting director have changed, but Samuele Ricci has remained one of the profiles that AC Milan like the most.

Calciomercato.com report that Milan kept Ricci on their radar for the entire season, and in the winter transfer window there were some talks but nothing ever materialised. Things were instead postponed to the summer, and now that time has arrived.

Torino are aware that their captain will be in demand and they do not want to stand in the way of his growth. He renewed until 2028 a few months ago but with a verbal agreement: if an offer of €25m or more were to arrive, the Granata will let him go.

The Rossoneri have also been informed of this agreement, and are planning their moves for the midfield ahead of 2025-26. A new offer is expected from Manchester City for Tijjani Reijnders and the management are thinking of how to invest the money.

Ricci remains the favourite and if a negotiation were to begin, Igli Tare could also think about including some players as counterparts. Yacine Adli is one option, who will return shortly from his loan at Fiorentina, and there are several Milan Futuro players Torino like.

However, Milan might have to act quickly because Inter like the Italy international too. It’s clear that now a lot depends on what happens with the head coach, but Ricci could also become Hakan Calhanoglu’s replacement in the event of the Turk’s farewell.

Furthermore, during this season, some scouts from top foreign clubs have come to Italy to follow Samuele closely, so now the ball is in the Diavolo’s court to move.

  1. If they fumble this signing im going nuts!
Further more we need an offensive midifielder aswell besides a defensive one.

        1. If they keep the 3, it might be a different formation or might be a more fluid one where theirs not really one, only management and allegri know.

  2. If his price is really 25 mil, it is no brainer. He ticks aspects Milan need: Italian for quota, true DM, with bonus that he is still young. Hope that Milan won’t again play hard ball by keep negotiating for an already bargain price, “just” because want to safe 2-3 mil, which potentially will make us see him going to perhaps rival club.

    1. Add Colombo and Vasquez to the mix, maybe buy him only for 15M and these 2… that means we have 60M more to spend from Tiji sale.

Comuzzo and Udogie/deCuyper make it 55M-70M. Zappacosta is free also.

I’d only keep then Adli, Zeroli and Alexis form loaned out players. which leaves us 3-4 players to sign: CB, CM, CAM and ST.

Theo and Thiaw would give us another 65-70M which should be fine. Coppola and Caviglia can be signed for 30M in total, Mikautadze for another 25-30M. vice-Pulisic on loan + obligations might work.

    2. He ticks off all the boxes other than one, being exceptionally good, he’s good i’m not saying he’s bad, just not THAT good, nothing that much above average

  3. Zappacosta, Meret, Modric for free
    Chiesa, Ricci, Cumuzzo 60m

    Sell
    Theo, RLC, Musah, Reiji 100m

    Save

  4. These transfer rumour news always talk about clubs making a swap deal. When was the last time we have made a swap deal?!? Cassano to Pazzini?

  5. The thing is though, that if Milan wait until the Reijnders’ sale goes through to go after Ricci, other clubs might swoop in and we’ll be late to the party, again.

Milan has the money to buy him without having to wait. That’s the sad part.

  6. Sell TR first and watch the price go up 10 million.
Sign the damn target and stop messing around already.

25 million is not a price worth trying to fiddle and bring down. Sell players after, or negotiate a deal a separately with Torino. Secure him before anything else.

  7. Fazzoni is Riegnard replacement
    Sign ricci
    Rovella
    Cheisa
    Lucca
    Retain adile and benacer
    Sell chukwueze and RLC
    Chukwueze for orsorini
Sign nuno travrez from Lazio for thoe replacement,
    Sign leaoni
I think we are good to go like this
